Ronnie "Gene" Self

Ronnie "Gene" Self, 68, of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away on June 3, 2025. He was born on December 24, 1956.

Visitation will begin at 12 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Linville Memorial Funeral Home in Eclectic, Alabama. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm officiated by Stan Coleman. Cremation will follow with burial in Friendship Cemetery at a later date.

Ronnie "Gene" Self is preceded in death by his parents, Doris Creamer and George Self; his wife, Beverly Self; brothers, Joe Self and Carl Self; and sisters, Nancy Sellers and Fanny Ledbetter.

Ronnie "Gene" Self is survived by his children, Crystal Easterwood, Hannah Self (Devyn), Jacob Self, and Hunter Self; grandchildren, Matèo Dumas, Randy Easterwood Jr, Nicolas Easterwood, and Hannah's unborn twin girls.

Ronnie "Gene" Self spent many, many years as a plumber with Coleman Plumbing. He was a family man and loved all of his family very dearly, and loved all of his friends as if they were his family. He has taught his children several life lessons with compassion. He leaves his family with lots of great memories and he will be very deeply missed.
