Rose Taunton Daniel, 103, of Tallassee, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 19, 2015.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm at East Tallassee Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Webb officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Daniel was born June 22, 1911, in Elmore County to the late James Alexander Taunton and Sallie Jane Wood Taunton and was the last surviving member of eight children. Mrs. Daniel worked most of her life at Mt. Vernon Mills and was a long-time member of the East Tallassee Baptist Church serving her Lord by teaching Sunday School for 65 plus years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Willie G. “Buster” Daniel and her son-in-law, Horace Dale Stalnaker. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Daniel Stalnaker of Columbus, GA; grandson, Gregory A. Stalnaker (Jennifer) of Newnan, GA; granddaughter, Susan K. Stalnaker of Alpharetta, GA; several nephews and nieces and many friends.
