Ruth Alice Gaither

Mrs. Ruth Alice Gaither, 78, of Tallassee, went home to be with her Lord at 2:33 pm Monday, October 28, 2013. She was born May 8, 1935.

Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 2 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bobby Hornsby officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

She was survived by daughters, Kathy Clayton McNelley and Dianne Clayton Kent; her brothers, Lloyd (Clara) Aldridge, Tommy Aldridge, Lewis (Frances) Aldridge and Ricky (Brenda) Aldridge; grandchildren, Kevin McNelley, Katie (Joey) Fannin, Anna Claire Kent and Erin Kent; great grandchildren, Koden McNelley, Tristan Fannin, Braeden McNelley and Aymee Lehman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Jim and Mamie Aldridge; first husband, Clarence “Red” Clayton; second husband, Harold Gaither; grandson, Jonathon Gavin Rhodes; sister, Frances “Aunt Koota” Wadsworth and sister-in-law, Janice Aldridge.
