Sammy Howard Moore

Sammy Howard Moore, 66, of Eclectic, passed away April 7, 2024. He was born May 23, 1957.

Graveside service and burial will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery, Alpharetta, GA on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 12:00 pm CST/1:00 pm EST. Rev. David Floyd will be officating.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Evyone Gunter Moore and grandparents, Howard and Gladys Gunter and Payton and Roan Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Walls Moore; father, Franklin (Sam) Moore; daughters, Sabrina (Josh) McVeigh and Samantha Placek; sons, Jay (Rachael) Mason and Lee (JoAnna) Mason; grandchildren, Daniel McVeigh, Trey Placek, Peyton Placek, Henry Placek, Samuel Placek, Alden (fiance' Brynlee Collier) Barentine, Alexis Mason, Destini Mason, Dalton Mason, Brittney (Chris) Landreau and Bradley (Kayla) Hudson; great-grandchildren, Cameron Moon, Chloe Anne Moon, Anna Lindsay and Journey Hudson and numerous extended close family and friends.

Sammy was a member of Westside Independent Baptist Church, Tallassee, AL and Sons of Confederate Veterans, Camp 1921, Tallassee, AL.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be memorial donations to Westside Independent Baptist Church, Missionary Fund, 1825 Gilmer Avenue, Tallassee, AL 36078 in memory of Sammy Moore.
