Sandra Faye Adair

Mrs. Sandra Faye Adair, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born on June 18, 1952, to the late Almon Sylvester Grice and Lanelle Wood Grice.

Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, Bobby "Red" Adair; her daughter, Pamela Thornell; her sister, Wylene Hopkins; and her brothers, Jimmy Gilbreath and Larry Grice.

She is survived by her son, Jamie Henderson (Heather); her cherished grandchildren, Dalton Thornell, Mason Henderson, and Aubrey Claire Henderson; her sisters, Sue Ann Alexander, Judy Kopecky, and Barbara Beaty; her sister-in-law/ special friend, Debra Durbin; and her many beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Sandra was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She deeply loved her family and friends and found her greatest joy in spending time with them. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in sports and other activities, always cheering them on with pride and love.

Sandra will be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, and unwavering love for those around her. Her gentle spirit and caring heart touched countless lives, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at East Tallassee Baptist Church until the time of service. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., with Reverend Brandon Fomby officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery.
