He is survived by his son, Seabron Phipps III (Lisa), sisters, Sandra Herring (Don), Barbara Margavio; Joyce Forehand (Bruce) and Sherrye Hildabrand (Danny); and grandchildren, Landen Phipps and Sydney Belyeu.
The family will hold a private memorial service on Saturday, April 13, 2013.
