Stephen Ray Hall, 56, of Red Hill, died in his home Saturday morning, sometime around 1 am on February 17, 2018, as a result of a fire which consumed his home. He was born February 19, 1961, at Mease Hospital in Dunedin, Florida.
He moved to Red Hill with his parents from Florida in 1971. He graduated from Elmore County High School in 1979. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1980 to 1984 in the Mediterranean and East African theatres. He worked for many years with his landscape maintenance business.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie McGlamery Hall, who is currently in the critical care unit of the UAB Burn Center in Birmingham, having survived the fire which took her husband; his daughter, Ashley (Carter) Wright, his granddaughter, Carley Wright, his stepsons, Wayne and Adam McGlamery, his step daughter, Ashley McGlamery, his step granddaughters, Haleigh McGlamery and Kylie McGlamery, his parents Ray & Linda Hall, his paternal uncles, Roger (Pat) Hall, James (Elan) Abrams, his maternal aunts, Sarah (Carl) Hernandez, Carla LeFleur and Jana Joyner, his step grandfather Arvil Griffith, and a very special aunt, Sue Roberts, along with a nephew, Richard Wayne (Elizabeth) Hall, and cousins Skip LeFleur (Tricia), Sean, and Melanie (Beth) Hernandez.
A memorial service will be held at Refuge Church in Red Hill on March 4, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. Steve Scarborough officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 – 2pm. A private interment will occur at a later date.
