Steven Kyle McDade died August 24, 2025 at the age of 29 after a long extended illness. God was with him throughout his life. Steven was born November 30, 1995 to Kathryn McDade. Steven and I married Chuck Cramer in 2004 and Chuck became the father he always wanted.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 12 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Rackliffe officiating.
In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by his brothers, Jason McDade (Summer), John W. McDade (Cara), Jason Cramer and Austin Cramer; his sister, Aubrey Cramer; and his best friend and partner in crime and everything else, Robert Jack Little. Devin Armstrong witnessed God to Steven and they studied the Bible together. There were two special ladies in Steven's life -- his grandmother "Grammy" Doris Miller and his Aunt Cindy who he called Mom. The 3 of them shared a love of sarcastic humor. I never knew if they were serious.
Steven was an avid collector and owned every game station ever made. He had an extensive collection of anime sculptures. He was fascinated with everything Japanese. He was learning the Japanese language so he could visit there. He loved documentaries and was a huge history buff and gun collector. So many people loved him. I can't list all his family and friends.
This isn't goodbye. We will see you again in Heaven. I will feel you walk beside me forever. Love, Mom and Dad
