Susie Annette Prather

Mrs. Susie Annette Prather, 76, of Eclectic, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015. She was born November 7, 1938.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 12 noon to 2 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm, at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home officiating.

She is survived by her husband, Hiram Jimmy Prather; children, Susan Renee Prather-Soppeck (Larry), Juanita Louise Prather Peavy (Tim), Rhonda Dawn Prather and John Hiram Prather (Stacey); her mother, Susie Stafford; sisters, Carolyn Long (Mack) and Elaine Smith (Danny); brother-in-law, Malcom Prather (Lois); sister-in-law, Gayle Prather; grandchildren, Marlena Soppeck, Brandon Soppeck, Randall Peavy (Bethany), John Peavy, Jessica Smith (Bradley), Devlin Smith, Hiram Austin Prather and Jordan Reann Prather; and two great grandsons, Lee Peavy and Brayden Royal.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and sister that loved her flowers, chickens, pets, grandchildren and gospel music along with church TV. She retired from the State of Alabama in 2001, after working as a registered nurse in Mental Health. She also loved her patients and believed in providing the best care possible.
