Tanya Lassiter

Tanya Lassiter, 41, of Tallassee, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015. She was born April 16, 1974.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery with Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, August 31, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Good Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by husband, Scott Lassiter; mother, Charlotte Irvine (Tommy); children, Kaela Shae Speake (Ethan), Donnie Lassiter (Jamie), Cheryl Jackson, Sandy Arledge (Mitch), Amy Purcell (Michael), Lindy Yawn (Wayne), and Mindy Foshee (David); sisters, Marilyn Speake (Craig) and Ashley Ward (Josh); brothers, Carl Estes and John Estes (Wanda); twelve grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Vernice Donal “Don” Estes.

Tanya was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and had a strong faith in God. She will be remembered as a Southern Girl who enjoyed cooking, beach trips and helping others. She will be greatly missed especially for her Facebooks posts because she kept her family and friends updated daily with her posted messages.
