Troy Lee O'Brien

Troy Lee O'Brien, born September 17, 1966 passed away in his home on February 8, 2026. He was born and raised in Oroville, CA and surrounding areas most of his life.

At age 18, he came to Tallassee, Alabama, and lived with his sister, Margaret Lumpkin, for a period of time before moving back to California, where he joined the Marines, and was honorably discharged in February of 1989. He then moved to Oregon, where he worked as an Auto Mechanic, and Manager of the Auto Center in many Sears stores in Oregon until he had to go on disability because of health issues. Troy returned to Tallassee, AL in 2014 to be close to family and spent his remaining days working on his house and gaming on his computer. Troy never married, but enjoyed his many nieces and nephews, spoiling them every chance he got. Uncle "T" was greatly loved.

Troy is preceded in death by his parents, David Wilson O'Brien and Martha Idell O'Brien; sister, Beesie Puscas; brother, Dino David O'Brien and one special niece, Courtney Allen.

Troy is survived by four sisters, Darenda White (Howard) of Amherst, VA; Tina Puscas of Forest, VA; Margaret Lumpkin (Mike) of Tallassee, AL and Teresa Harvey, Portland, OR.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 2 pm at Souls Chapel, 501 Sims Ave, Tallassee, AL 36078.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be memorial contributions to Souls Chapel in honor of Troy.
