Virginia Tucker Lawrence "Granny", age 76, a resident of Wetumpka, passed away July 30, 2025 at her home. She was born on August 13, 1948.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband (whom she was extremely loyal to) Bobby D. Lawrence; her father Aubrey Middlebrooks and mother Grace Motley; her adoptive parents Ann Tucker and Vester "Uncle Beppy" Tucker; her sisters Elizabeth "Noodle" (Wayne) Taylor, Mary Alice Johnson (Woody) and Ercille (Jean) Dixon and one brother Buddy Middlebrooks.
To cherish her memories she leaves behind a daughter Jennifer Lindsey (Joseph); two stepdaughters Debbie Kirkland (Wendell) and Vickie Lawrence; sister Janet (Meryl) Evans; brother Wayne (Elaine) Stewart; sisters-in-law Tracy Lawrence, Betsy Lawrence (Buddy-deceased) and Fatima Middlebrooks (Buddy-deceased); brothers-in-law Bill (Bobbie) Lawrence, Pat (Deah) Lawrence, Tony (Therese) Lawrence and Christopher Lawrence; grandchildren Charlotte Lindsey and Caleb Lindsey; step grandchild Clint Kirkland (Michelle); a host of nieces and nephews and also all the friends she loved so dearly.
Mrs. Lawrence was a loving and caring individual who never met a stranger (due to her countless years as a secretary in various places) and would give anyone anything she had.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service at 11 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2025 hosted by Shoal Creek Baptist Church, Deatsville, Alabama with Brother Shane Russell presiding. Burial will follow at Motley Cemetery in Autaugaville , Alabama.
