Mrs. Wilda Jean Thornell, age 83, of Tallassee, passed away October 9, 2013. She was born April 20, 1930.
Visitation will be Friday, October 11, 2013 from 11:00 am until the service at 1:00 pm at First Assembly of God. Rev. Travis Bittle will officiate and burial will follow at Carrville Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
She is survived by son, Carl Thornell (Angel); brothers, Art Ballard (Iris) and Carl Ballard (Mary); grandchildren, Pamela Thornell, Alicia Diego (Miguel), Beth Acreman, Martha Thornell, Dawn Gissendanner (Mike), Nikki Moore (Todd), Jason Spain (Holly), Carrie Spain and Travis Thornell; fourteen great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Doyle Thornell; sons, Johnnie Doyle Thornell, Jr. and Donald Wayne Thornell; and twin sister, Wilma Dean Ballard.
