Mr. Wilmer Lumpkin, age 81, a resident of Tallassee, passed away on November 22, 2010.He was born September 3, 1929.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Linville Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, November 26, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home.
He is survived by wife, Becky Lumpkin; daughter, Drucilla Downing; son, Mike (Margaret) Lumpkin; brother, Dawson (Christine) Lumpkin; sister, Nadine (Harry) Sanders; sister-in-law, Ada Lumpkin; three grandchildren, Sabrina (Tony) Sifuentes, Alena (Joshua) Dixon and Derek (Ali) Lumpkin; one great-grandson, Landyn Lumpkin and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by wife, Nancy Blackmon Lumpkin; sister, Gracie Cosby and brother, John Lumpkin.
